The Voice is Valerie Jean! Welcome to her online portfolio.  Background information about her Voice Over work....  VJ graduated from Canada's University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.  She used her distinctive voice in live theatre, TV and radio dramas, children's plays, and commercial voice overs.  She appeared regularly on the Canada's CBC Radio National Network, and became host of the "Night Owl Show" at the first all-girl  AM radio station, CHIC.  She taught Voice and Speech at the Cinderella Career College in Toronto and Sheridan Community College in Oakville.  Coming to the USA, her voice appeared on the airwaves from Florida to California.  In Palm Springs, she hosts her own celebrity interview show, "VJ's CORNER" on KWXY AM/FM since l988.  Her hundreds of commercial VOs earned her the nickname "The Voice of the Desert".

VJ's Voices

Valerie-Jean Hume is known as just "VJ" in the business.  Her rich, unusual voice has taken her to international exposure.  For voicing Bonneville Worldwide Entertainment's Animal Video promo (in the voice of a kitten!) she won an Angel Award and a Christopher Award.  She can deliver dozens of accents, character voices, narration styles, and even animal voices!
